Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I hope you spent some time affirming all the hard work you continue to do for and with your students last week. You may be starting to feel fatigued from jumping back into full work days after a long break. That doesn’t mean that the new routines you have in place won’t work or that you were unrealistic in your goals for yourself or your classroom. It’s just a reminder to continue to take care of yourself while you work through everything else.

I think it was in the classroom I truly learned the value of a good deep breath. My students would mock me for taking a breath before I did routine things like fill out a referral or give instructions for group work. I hope that while giggling they also made a note of the practice. It can make a world of difference in getting from 8am to 4pm.
