5 Join 2023 Cohort After 2nd Deadline

Arkansas Teacher Corps staff recently completed the selection process for our second application deadline of the year. For the January 1 early deadline, we received 21 applications, interviewed 10 applicants, and accepted 5 fellows. (By comparison, this time last year we received 12 applications and accepted 3 fellows.)

Congratulations to these individuals receiving a 2023 ATC Fellowship:

Quintisha Douglas, native of Dermott, AR; graduate of Colorado Technical University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice; graduate of Concordia University with a master’s degree in education; employed by McGehee School District; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) science

Stephanie Lane, native of Marianna, AR; graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminology; employed by Lee County School District; currently working toward certification in elementary (K-6) education

Daniel Matlock, native of Jonesboro, AR; graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor’s degree in history and French and a Juris Doctor in law; employed by Exalt Academy of Southwest Little Rock; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) social studies

Kaitlyn Shisler, native of Fort Smith, AR; graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor’s degree in international studies; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) social studies

Taylor Swygert, native of Pine Bluff, AR; graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a bachelor’s degree in English education; employed by Osceola School District; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) English Language Arts
