ATC Presented to AR Joint Education Committee

ATC executive director Brandon Lucius and ATC faculty director Dr. Sarah McKenzie spoke about the Arkansas Teacher Corps fellowship as part of a larger presentation by the University of Arkansas College of Education and Health Professions before a joint session of the Arkansas House and Senate education committees on November 7 in Little Rock, AR. COEHP Dean Dr. Kate Mamiseishvili provided opening remarks about the College’s strategic plan and WECARE (Wellness and Education Commitment to Arkansas Excellence) initiative; Dr. Josh McGee, associate director of the Office for Education Policy, shared data about the state of teacher shortages in Arkansas; and Dr. John Bacon, executive director of the IMPACT Arkansas fellowship, spoke about several successful schools being led by IMPACT graduates.
