Earlier this week, ATC executive director Brandon Lucius, ATC recruiter Whitney Carter, and ATC alumna Freda Calloway attended the “Pathways to Progress: Strengthening Educator Diversity for Economic Growth and Student Success” conference at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, hosted by Teach Plus Arkansas, TNTP, and the Arkansas coalition of the One Million Teachers of Color campaign. Brandon moderated a panel of educators who shared their perspectives on the current state of the teaching profession, Whitney sat on a panel of education leaders to share about her experience with recruiting and retaining educators of color, and Freda served as a table facilitator leading small-group discussions at her table after each panel.
