The Arkansas Teacher Corps is pleased to announce the selection of 12 new fellows for the 2021 cohort from the third application round that ended March 1, 2021. These 12 will join the nine 2021 fellows already selected from earlier deadlines.
Congratulations to these new 2021 fellows who will be teaching in the Arkansas Delta:
- Jordan Alkaabi, native of Lexington, KY; graduate of University of Kentucky with a bachelor of science in business management and a minor in communication; graduate of Penn State University with a master of art in international affairs with a concentration in international business; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) business
- Angela Coleman, native of Helena-West Helena, AR; graduate of University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a bachelor of science in biology; currently finishing a master of education in educational equity; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) life science
- Chatoria Franklin, native of West Memphis, AR; graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor of science; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) math
- Tamika Kilgore, native of El Dorado, AR; graduate of Southern Arkansas University with a bachelor of science in biology and a minor in chemistry; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) science
- Jennifer Maxwell, native of Marmaduke, AR; graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor of science in broadcast journalism with an emphasis on radio/television and a minor in history; graduate of Capella University with a master of business administration; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) math
- Derrick Newburn, native of Malvern, AR; graduate of Liberty University with a bachelor of science in religion and a master of arts in theological studies; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) math
- Alice O’Leary, native of Lynn, MA; graduate of Salem State University with a bachelor of arts in history and a minor in chemistry; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) science
- Maxwell Parker, native of Vestavia Hills, AL; graduate of Hendrix College with a bachelor of arts in politics; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) social studies
- Rikki Sandress, native of Chicago, IL; graduate of University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor of applied science and a master of education in learning systems technology; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) science
- Kimberly Sloan, native of Harrison, AR; graduate of Northwestern University with a bachelor of science in learning sciences and a minor in computer science; currently working toward certification in computer science and middle school (4-8) English language arts
- Kimberly Taylor, native of Marion, AR; graduate of University of Arkansas Fort Smith with a bachelor of applied science; currently working toward elementary (K-6) education
- Luisa Towery, native of Blytheville, AR; graduate of Harding University with a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) chemistry and physics
