11 Selected for 2025 Cohort After 1st Deadline

Arkansas Teacher Corps staff recently completed the selection process for our first application deadline of the year. For the Nov 1 expedited deadline, we received 52 applications, interviewed 19 applicants, and accepted 11 fellows. (By comparison, this time last year we received 66 applications, interviewed 30 applicants, and accepted 18 fellows.)

Congratulations to these individuals receiving a 2025 ATC Fellowship:

  • Ashley Hubbard, native of Helena-West Helena, AR; graduate of Berea College with a bachelor’s degree in music and a minor in African/African American Studies; employed by KIPP Delta Public Schools;; currently working toward certification in K-12 music
  • Betty Leak, native of Forrest City, AR; graduate of Arkansas Tech with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education; employed by the Lee County School District; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) math and science
  • Channing Mitchell, native of Forrest City, AR; graduate of Central Baptist College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting; ; employed by the Forrest City School District; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) math
  • Dakota Hamlin, native of Marion, AR; graduate of University of Memphis with a bachelor’s degree in English; employed by the West Memphis School District; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) English
  • Deadrick Butler, native of Memphis, TN; graduate of LeMoyne Owen College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration; employed by the Osceola School District; currently working toward certification in K-12 music
  • Felicia Dokes, native of Jacksonville, AR; graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a minor in psychology; graduate of Webster University with a master’s in public administration; employed by the Jacksonville-North Pulaski School District
  • Jennifer Young, native of Osceola, AR; graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in general studies; employed by the Osceola School District; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) social studies
  • Kennedy Jones, native of Blytheville, AR; graduate of Jackson State University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and a minor in speech; graduate of Mississippi College with a certificate in public relations; employed by the Osceola School District; currently working toward certification in in secondary (7-12) English
  • Laterica Burton, native of Blytheville, AR; graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in general studies; employed by KIPP Delta Public Schools; currently working toward certification in K-12 art
