10 Selected for 2023 Cohort After 1st Deadline

Arkansas Teacher Corps staff recently completed the selection process for our first application deadline of the year. For the Nov 1 expedited deadline, we received 33 applications, interviewed 19 applicants, and accepted 10 fellows. (By comparison, this time last year we received 20 applications, interviewed 13 applicants, and accepted 9 fellows.)

Congratulations to these individuals receiving a 2023 ATC Fellowship:

  • Salena Boyd, native of Forrest City, AR; graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in sociology; employed by the Forrest City School District; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) social studies
  • Lauren Brown, native of El Dorado, AR; graduate of Lyon College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) life science
  • Karen Davis, native of Wynne, AR; graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies and a master’s degree in early childhood education; employed by the Forrest City School District; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) math
  • George Eldridge, native of Temecula, CA; graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in history; employed by the Hope School District; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) social studies
  • Shelby Evans, native of Benton, AR; graduate of Southern Arkansas University with a bachelor’s degree in university studies; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) life science
  • Beblyn Hunt, native of Dermott, AR; graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a bachelor’s degree in general studies; employed by the Dermott School District; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) physical science
  • Roshanna Luster, native of Earle, AR; graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies; currently working toward certification in middle school (4-8) math
  • Jere Norville, native of Memphis, TN; graduate of the University of Memphis with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and a master’s degree in history; employed by the West Memphis School District; currently working toward certification in secondary (7-12) social studies
