ATC teacher development manager (and 2015 ATC alum) Kayla Bryant Robertson attended The Instructional Coaching Group’s 5-day Intensive Instructional Coaching Institute with Jim Knight in Lawrence, KS on July 15-19 to continue sharpening her coaching skills. ATC’s other coaches attended the training in January, but Kayla was unable to attend at that time. The Jim Knight institute is one of seven programs certified by the Arkansas Department of Education to provide the coaching training required to be an experienced mentor teacher in Arkansas. All ATC staff are also completing the 8-day Cognitive Coaching training offered by the Thinking Collaborative.
