Jamie plans and leads the ATC summer institute, in addition to supporting the team with fellow coaching, licensure, and school/district partnerships. A native of central Arkansas, she attended high school at the Arkansas School for Math, Science, and the Arts in Hot Springs, AR where she also served as a community leader, student government representative, Model UN representative, and Future Business Leaders of America member. She was the recipient of the 2010 Susan B. Anthony/Fredrick Douglass Leadership Award and 2011 Daniel Benton Memorial Scholarship for accomplishments in American History. After serving two years as a residential assistant and receiving multiple academic scholarships, Jamie graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, AR in 2014 with a B.A. in English (concentration in literary studies) and a minor in politics. She utilized her leadership experiences from school as a general manager of Domino’s for several years before joining ATC as a 2018 fellow teaching 5th & 6th grade mathematics and science at ScholarMade Achievement Place in Little Rock, Ark. Since then, Jamie has served in a variety of leadership roles including ScholarMade Teacher Leader Fellow/Multi-Classroom Leader, two-time ATC Summer Mentor, and ATC Teacher Development Manager. As a full-time staff member, she draws upon her own fellowship experiences to provide fellows with the individualized development and holistic personal support that they need to succeed. She is currently pursuing an M.Ed. in educational technology from the University of Arkansas.
