Kandace McDonald

Kandace coaches and supports teachers through classroom observations and debriefs, in addition to facilitating professional development. She graduated from Blytheville High School, Philander Smith College with a B.A. in English, and the University of Arkansas with a M.Ed. in educational equity. Kandace was a 2017 ATC fellow and taught high school English in Blytheville and Osceola for eight years. During that time, she was English department lead and AP Coordinator for Osceola High School. She has also served as an instructional support coach with Fletcher Education Solutions to assist teachers with improving their instruction and has taught courses like creative writing and computer skills at Arkansas Northeastern College. She previously served as the coordinator of home instruction for parents of preschool youngsters (HIPPY) at the Mississippi County Arkansas Economic Opportunity Commission. Kandace has completed the Arkansas Leadership Academy’s teacher leader program and is now in the ALA instructional leader empowerment program. As a full-time teacher coach, she is excited to support and empower other teachers in providing an excellent, equitable education for their students.
