Lizzy coordinates teachers’ training and development over the three-year Fellowship and manages a team of teacher development managers to coach Fellows toward resilience and student success in the classroom. A native of upstate New York, Lizzy taught 7th grade math in Minneapolis, MN through Teach For America after graduating from Oberlin College with her B.A. in economics and politics. After three years in the classroom and co-founding a non-profit to support teacher advocacy in the Twin Cities region, she joined Teach For America staff and moved to Arkansas as a teacher coach. Since 2012, Lizzy has served in a variety of positions with Teach For America – Arkansas, most recently as the Managing Director of Teacher Leadership Development responsible for setting a regional development vision and coordinating a team of 5 full-time and 20 part-time teacher development staff members. Lizzy is proud to call Little Rock home with her Instagram-famous Dachsund, Boomer, and is excited to continue working toward educational equity throughout the state of Arkansas.
